Leaves in the Wind (2026)

PROGRAM NOTE

"My head felt clear and light, like a leaf floating on the wind." - Patrick Rothfuss 

When writing this piece I was under a lot of pressure. I had about one week to complete it and what felt like a million other deadlines looming all at once. In response I went on a walk and as I saw a leaf float down from a nearby tree my mind suddenly cleared, all of my stress and pressure I felt floated away with that leaf I saw in the wind.
